2023-2024 Early Childhood Screening Dates
We welcome you to bring in your child who is between the ages of 33 months and five years for an early childhood screening. The preschool team will assess your child in the areas of cognitive, language, motor and personal/social development. In addition, you will be asked to complete a social development history about your child.

Screenings will be held in the morning on the following dates:
Child Find is part of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), which requires that all children with disabilities, from birth to 21 years of age who are in need of early intervention or special education services be located, evaluated and identified. The North Stonington Public Schools is committed to finding children with developmental delays early and to providing free and appropriate educational opportunities to children as determined by the Planning and Placement Team process (PPT).
