About the NSES Drama Club Program
The North Stonington Elementary School Drama Club is an after school program open to 4th, 5th and 6th grade students. We perform Broadway style shows each year in the spring. Our mission is to provide an opportunity for students to increase their self-confidence through creative expression, self-discipline and teamwork while encouraging a lifelong appreciation of the arts and recognition of the educational power of the theatre. These attributes help contribute to success in the classroom both academically and often behaviorally as children discover talents and skills which can help boost classroom participation.
Whats Happening in 2023-2024
Our 2023-24 Drama Club is underway! Auditions were held in September, and our cast of 52 students has been rehearsing since the start of October. We are learning very familiar songs and lots of choreography as we get ready to transform our stage into Arendelle!
Save the Date! Frozen, Jr. performances are:
Thursday, March 21st at 6 PM
Friday, March 22nd at 7 PM
Saturday, March 23rd at 2 PM
December 8, 2023, 6:30 PM
As a fundraiser for our Drama Club Program, we are presenting a Talent Show for 3rd-6th grade students on Friday, December 8th. Tickets will be sold at the door, including raffle tickets, with proceeds benefitting this year’s performance of Frozen, Jr. There will even be a special appearance by Elsa and Anna! Come watch our talented students sing, dance, play music, perform magic and more! Come early to see a very special opening number by some very familiar faces you see around the school every day!
